Serious problem: successful people living normal lives in the mountains.

National crisis: YouTubers living peacefully (and consuming, to boot!!)

Serious problem: successful people living normal lives in the mountains.

Andorra has mountains, snow, calm… and, apparently, another inexhaustible natural resource: the curious ability to turn personal decisions into what feel like debates of state, and the capacity to outrage half the internet when someone with a camera decides to settle down there. Especially if that decision involves a camera, a YouTube channel, and a bit of quality of life.

Because, apparently, there is an unwritten rule: you can live wherever you want—sure, there are things that can be tolerated—the cold, the winding roads, even the grocery store prices—as long as it doesn't look like you're living too well.

This is where things get complicated, but a YouTuber living well? That's harder to swallow. This is where things get complicated.

The most fascinating thing is the speed with which multidisciplinary experts appear. People who, until two days ago, couldn't find Andorra on a map and who now master concepts of international taxation, labor ethics, and moral philosophy with enviable confidence.

All of this without getting off the couch. Maximum efficiency!

But the debate has a delicious edge to it. It's not just that they live in Andorra, no.

It's that, on top of that, they're doing well. And that's where the conversation picks up speed. Because moving is one thing… but doing it while making a relatively comfortable living is another.

That requires deep analysis, Twitter threads, Instagram... and the occasional debate with an epic tone.

Curiously, the problem rarely seems to be Andorra itself.

The country just carries on, doing its thing, without major daily scandals.

The real conflict arises when someone who generates content—and income—decides to take advantage of that peace and quiet.

Then, and only then, all the moral alarms go off.

And it is here that the debate becomes almost philosophical: is it acceptable to live well?

To what extent is it tolerable for someone to be successful and, on top of that, manage it however they see fit?

Complex questions, undoubtedly.

Meanwhile, the YouTubers keep making videos, editing thumbnails, and occasionally showing a bit of snow in the background (which always gains points).

And the rest of the world watches, analyzes, and, above all, gives its opinion with admirable passion.

Maybe, deep down, it's all simpler than it seems. But of course, that wouldn't make for much conversation.

Anyway, Andorra will remain small, quiet, and full of mountains.

And the debate… well, the debate will surely continue to be quite a bit larger than the country itself.

“But well, maybe the most revolutionary solution would be to let everyone live however they want... I know it sounds radical... Either way, maybe one day we'll discover that living and letting live wasn't such a bad idea after all.”

But who knows... one day we might decide to let people live without having to have a debate first... perhaps it's too bold, but everyone could just live their own life... without having to go through an internet tribunal...!
